HAZELHURST ARTS CENTRE
Gymea, Sydney
Visit Hazelhurst to see our beautiful new mural by
Brazilian-born, Cronulla-based artist Bruno Mota.
Bruno’s work is often influenced by coastal landscapes and memories of summer holidays – or the dreams of future ones. Colour filled, energetic, vibrant and instantly uplifting, his new mural reflects on the legacy of Ben and Hazel Broadhurst and the bequest of their property to the local community for them to enjoy. So come by and enjoy it!

THE BRIGHT SHIRE
Sutherland Shire, Sydney
The Bright Shire was created by local artist, Bruno Mota, to represent the Sutherland Shire’s culture and lifestyle, illustrating the region’s abundance of beautiful landscapes, nature, beaches and friendly community.
My aim was to represent some iconic places such as Wedding Cake Rock, Waterfalls and Cronulla with the regional architecture, surf culture and happy atmosphere. This artwork shows an intersection of lines, shapes and exploding colours connecting all these icons in one piece, bringing together the spirit of community.
WALK TO WALLS CRONULLA
Cronulla, Sydney
35 street artists are locked in to transform this popular coastal destination into a gigantic outdoor art gallery, with more artists expected to be named in the line-up that will see over 40 street and laneway walls revived in early November.
Walk the Walls is jointly funded by Council and the NSW Government and this year’s theme is ‘Sustainable Coastal Cronulla’. The festival forms part of our commitment to crime prevention across Sutherland Shire, reducing graffiti vandalism and providing a boost to the local economy.
